Week In Review

So here it is Saturday again and I missed my long run yet again. Woke up at 7 as if I planned to run and the rain kept me in. Months ago I was out in the ice and snow and overall freezing through my runs. Yet here I am only getting my “easy” run days in when I am coaching the wife.

So it is time for a change. I am looking into my next Half in order to get me back on track. Looking for something towards late summer. After my Half in Prague I have been slightly upset at the finishing time, but knew the lack of training was at fault there. I want to go in prepared this time around. I know I can PR here in the near future. Need to become more consistent.
WEEK RECAP: So, what did I accomplish this week? Not much in regards to my own training but did get a lot of enjoyment training the wife. Numbers are below. I plan in the future to keep the two training programs separate so I know what my ups and downs look like aside from the wife's progression which is also my VFF progression.
Miles: 5.5
Time: About 1:17
Ave Pace: About 14:00

Funny Friday

It's finally friday and today I bring you Funny Friday. Yet another attempt to keep daily themes in my blog in order to post more often. Just like running, consistency is key. Although these posts are called Funny Friday I will not promise that you will laugh. Mainly this is just one more blog post with pictures for y'all to kill time without the effort of reading as you think about which shoes you'll wear with what outfit when you go out to the Olive Garden tonight.

Since I have not posted life updates in a while I will use todays Funny Friday to make the attempt to catch people up in my life. I plan to do my best to build this post around a cat theme. Note, not all Funny Friday posts will have words.

My wife recently got a cat while I was away on a training mission in Romania.
This is the cat: Eden
Of course the cat was not spaded so she seems to be in heat this week and let me say that is the most annoying sound I have ever heard. But it's cool. Monday she gets fixed.

Keeping with the cat theme through out this blog while tying to post life updates is proving to be tricky. However I have a few more up my sleeve.

So the wife has asked me to Coach, Train, Teach, and Mentor her on running. This I must say is rather enjoyable. We have her in some NB MT 20's and I must say she is moving right along with very little complaints. She is actually doing way better on getting up in the morning than I thought she would. With some coaxing she gets up just fine.

Not only has my wife show an interest in running, she has also decided to go back to school for her Masters. This has inspired me to continue for my Bachelors. I have taken the time to change not only schools but my degree option as well. However, unlike my wife who is a self starter, I am going to need some assistance in my classes. The below pic represents my thoughts on studying.
Yes, that is a bunny, not a cat. Sorry

As I was searching for random funny photos I came across these. Consider them bonus pics:

Remember the good ole' gaming days prior to 37 buttons and 288,999 button combo options
Must be SOME really GREAT camouflage
Reminds me of our cat, yet couldn't work it into this blog post

Hope every one has a wonderful and safe Friday night. Stop back by Saturday for the Week In Review post.

Motivation Monday....or Tuesday

YES I KNOW IT IS TUESDAY....get motivated anyways.

We all know Mondays (Tuesday) are the hardest stay of the week to get up and get moving on anyways. For most this is true, yet for me, I love Mondays (and now Tuesdays). Back to a normal routine. So…I look to give you all something to look forward to and to assist you into getting back into the grind of things on Monday with a Motivational Video Clip, Picture, and at least one quote.
